Shrill Shill alert

“It was clear from all of the testing we’ve conducted that Microsoft provides an efficient and scalable operating platform, while also providing the performance needed to handle our extraordinary growth,” said Warren Adelman, president and COO of Go Daddy.

Apache market share dropped almost a full 6 percent because of this move by GoDaddy. What is not stated directly, but touched on by Netcraft reporters, is that the domains moved to the Microsoft platform were more likely the masses of parked domains, read “domains not actually doing a whole lot.”

I see this as an example of Microsoft's inability to compete in the market place. Solution: buy market share. Shameful really.
