Ulrich
Ulrich is a tavern owner in Weidemarkt and a secret admirer of the finest dwarf ales. Ulrich was a senior emissary in the court of the Markgraf of Helmgart, serving as a liaison to the dwarf clans in the Grey Mountains, he obtained some rare kegs in service. While returning from the expedition to the lost elven settlement near Schilderheim, the heroes stopped again at Ulrich's tavern. Ulrich shared a keg of Mordrin's Triple Black, a rare ale with Thuramir, Martin, and Ravendil. Martin got thoroughly drunk on large mugs of the TB.
Ulrich engaged the heroes to return a Rune of Fortitude to the Clan Kargin in the Grey Mountains. Unbeknownst to the heroes at the time, the rune was not a gift, but had been stolen. The party was this made an unwitting participant in a long standing grudge between Clan Kargin and Ulrich.
