The fortress city that guards the Empire side of Axe Bite Pass. It is here that the party parted ways with Johannes Grissman, and attempted to meet with the dwarves to return the Rune of Fortitude. When it was revealed that the rune had been stolen, and the party was an unwilling participant to a grudge, Thuramir Jorunnson felt honor bound to provide what aid he could to the local dwarves. Thus the party launched an expidition to Groz Zorn on behalf of the priestess Skalfkragella "Ella" Karginsdottir. The party met with success in returning a priceless book of Vallaya, but revealed darker secrets that they remain unexplored in the depths of that deep.
It was here that the knight errant Joans Mendy took Ravendil Shadowstar aside and shared his dreams that fortold of coming events, and his belief that he was called to higher things. Together they met with the lady Eldril and the elven mage Erlaen Shadowstar who set them on a quest to investigate a "Black Spot" over the Bretonian city of Bordeleaux.
